BSc - Bachelor of Science
A Bachelor of Science is a three year degree program, longer for part time students.
Distance Education
Bachelor of Science by distance Education is available with major studies in the area of biological science, including biochemistry, biodiversity, botany, conservation biology, ecology, environmental biology, geology, geophysics, human geography, microbiology, molecular biology, palaeobiology, palaeontology, population biology, physiology, (animal amd plant) and zoology. Units can also be taken in physics, chemistry, physical geography, statistics, and the humanities. Distance education teaching involves the use of study guides, reading programs, audio cassettes and web-based materials. Most units of study require short, intensive session on the Macquarie campus. which are normally held at weekend or during University vacations.
General Requirements
- Obtain an aggregate of at least 68 credit points, including
- at least 38 credit points in units at 200 level or above, and
- at least 34 credit points in units at 200 level or above designated in the Schedule of Units of Study as science units
- at least 18 credit points in units at 300 level or above designated in the Schedule of Units of Study as science units
- and completion of other specific requirements as set out in the Schedule of Undergraduate Programs including an approved coherent study at 300 level
