PGDipSocHlth - Postgraduate Diploma in Social Health
The Social Health programs aim to produce graduates with: * a broad knowledge of the personal and social contexts within which social health issues arise and are maintained; * an understanding of the impact of social health issues, and the current responses to these phenomena; * a critical appreciation of the variety of preventive strategies, and a basic competence in developing and implementing such strategies; * a critical appreciation of the variety of current treatment approaches and goals, and of their relationship to current health care practices; * an appreciation of the need for and the role of research in this area.
