ACCG250: Accounting Systems Design |
This unit provides an introduction to accounting information systems, the technology of information systems, an examination of controls, and computer crime and information systems ethics.
The unit aims to develop and enhance several generic skills that are perceived as beneficial in an educational, professional workplace and social environment, through the critical analysis of case studies.
The unit will involve practical work using the accounting software package MYOB. Students are assumed to have a sound knowledge of manual accounting information systems, in particular the flow of data in such systems from source documents to financial statements.
