BUSL201: Law in Australian Society

This unit examines features of the legal system in contemporary Australia. Particular topics include the relationship between law and society, the nature of law in a federal system, and the roles of Parliaments and courts in making, developing and changing our law. Students will develop skills in using and reading case law, legislation and secondary legal source materials through assessment tasks focusing on topical areas of legal interest.
