CMGT222: Policy and Administration |
This unit examines the history of government and mission Aboriginal policies and their implementation from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. Attention centres on the nature of the administrative structures and on why the sometimes high ideals of policy became so oppressive in practice. The unit also attempts to frame new concepts of administration geared to Aboriginal autonomy in key areas.
