ECHP323: Early Childhood Reflective Practice 3 |
This unit provides opportunities for students to further develop their skills in planning learning experiences for young children using a variety of planning strategies. Students are also expected to develop skills in identifying, articulating and critically reflecting on their personal-professional philosophy as an emerging early childhood teacher. The field experience component requires students to undertake a three week teaching block in a prior-to-school early childhood setting or the first years of school.
The field experience component requires students to implement appropriate sequences of planned learning experiences for children aged 0-3 or 3-5 or 4-8 (K-2) years. The field experience component requires a series of observation days and a block period of teaching in early childhood settings with young children.
