GEOS315: Environmental and Groundwater Geophysics |
Day Students: field excursion 28 September - 2 October
Seismology, seismic refraction and instrumentation, potential field and electrical methods and geophysical well-logging with an emphasis on applications to engineering site and groundwater investigation and pollution monitoring.
Practical work includes exercises in the reduction and interpretation of data. The field excursion will give an appreciation of the practical application, problems and limitations of the techniques studied during the unit.
