HLTH200: Contemporary Health Issues |
This is a core unit in the Bachelor of Health program. It provides a multidisciplinary overview and critical analysis of contemporary health issues in the developed and developing world. Topics studied include: health challenges for the 21st Century; health and social justice; the effect of globalisation on health; health issues for ageing populations; health and the media; occupational and environmental health; and the re-emergence of infectious diseases.
