LAW438: Practising in the Public Interest |
This unit provides an opportunity for 9 students to participate in a program conducted in conjunction with the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and the Public Interest Law Clearing House. Students spend a week during the mid-year break undertaking a program through PIAC, 'Practising in the Public Interest', including a two-day placement with an organization actively involved in pro bono or public interest work. Students then undertake a research project arising from the work undertaken at PIAC. Entry to the unit is competitive.
