MAS214: Media Technologies and Society |
MAS 214 explores the relationships between media and social and cultural change. This unit offers a historical perspective on communications media. Detailed case studies of the development, implementation and impacts of key media technologies, from the printing press through the telegraph to videogames, are used as a basis for interrogating contemporary developments in our media and technological environments.
