MATH335: Mathematical Methods

This unit develops the ideas and techniques of analysis important in many branches of applied mathematics. Topics include the theory of functions of a complex variable, conformal mapping and its application to two-dimensional flow problems, Fourier series, Fourier and Laplace transforms and their use in solving differential equations, and further topics from asymptotic analysis or special functions.
