This unit reviews and develops candidates' skills in selecting, performing and interpreting quantitative analysis of data. In addition, the unit aims to develop an understanding of the limitations of quantitative analysis. On completion of this unit, candidates will be able to:
Specify research questions and hypotheses to test their research questions;
Develop appropriate measures for constructs;
Design specific and effective survey instruments, and enter and analyse data from survey instruments;
Choose between, apply and interpret statistical techniques for the analysis of data; and
Develop a basic understanding of a variety of sophisticated data analysis techniques, and when they are relevant.
