PSY305: Personality |
Theories are considered which address the shared features and uniqueness of an individual's personality, its underpinnings and development, and the joys and costs of the dynamic system of adaptation it represents. Included are classical psychoanalytic and object relation theories and their contemporary research offshoots, as well as Eastern contributions to Western personality theory and a consideration of biological influences. Seminars permit specialisation in practical clinical, theoretical and research issues.
Evening students will be able to obtain tapes of the lectures from the Centre for Open Education, but must attend the practicals/tutorials.
