BIOL350: Aboriginal Impact on Australian Ecosystems

This unit covers a range of topics relating to the impact of Aboriginal people on Australian environments both in the past and in the present. It will include the biological origins of the Aboriginal people; extinction of the Australian megafauna; fire and Australian vegetation; Aboriginal conservation strategies; population increase; and palaeoenvironmental reconstructions. It should be attractive to students interested in ecology, environmental biology, plant and animal biology, and Aboriginal Studies.
