BIOL390: Selected Topics in Biodiversity and Conservation

This unit forms a compulsory part of the program for BSc (Biodiversity and Conservation) students, but is also available to other students with strong academic records. Students MUST consult with the convener prior to enrolment. In consultation with the convener, each student will be assigned a staff supervisor who will guide them through a program of study in a specific area of biodiversity or conservation of particular interest to the student. This will usually entail extensive review of the literature, but may include a component of field and/or laboratory work. Assessment is based on two written reports plus a seminar.
