BUS202: International Business Organisation and Management |
This unit will introduce students to concepts of organisational management. An historical perspective of the management of organisations is developed and includes current management approaches. Structure, strategy and communication are explored from the perspective of their roles as foundations of organisation. The unit will consider the organisation as a system with a number of components such as, social, technological, political and economic sub-systems. The stakeholder approach to organisations will be introduced to identify relationships between the organisation, its employees, its customers, suppliers, investors and the community. Emerging new business models will be introduced and discussed.
