CHIR354: Human Anatomy IIA |
This unit, which is conducted at Sydney University in Semester 1, consists of three parts: The Upper Limb; The Lower Limb and the Vertebral Column; and Embryology. The gross anatomy of the upper and lower limbs are examined in greater detail with particular reference to the structural specialisations for chiropractic manipulative and tactile functions of the upper limb, and weight bearing and locomotion and posture associated with the lower limb and the vertebral column. Students spend the majority of their time in self-directed learning in groups with video taped instructions and demonstrations. Students will have use of prosected specimens, models, X-rays, videos, films and the Anatomy museum while undertaking the unit. A number of lectures and practical classes are devoted to Embryology.
