COMP326: Information Systems Development

This unit explores the design and implementation of enterprise information systems centred on database technology. It builds on prior knowledge of UML modelling from ISYS227 Requirements Analysis and Systems Design and of database programming from ISYS114 (or ISYS154) Introduction to Systems Design and Data Management and ISYS224 Database Systems. The theory is applied in practical assignments or a project. The unit also involves study of advanced database management issues, including transaction management, web databases, distributed object architectures, and analytical processing.
