CUL203: Performance Studies I |
The emphasis will be on the theory and practice of performance in the twentieth century as it has developed outside of the direct consideration of dramatic texts. A wide variety of influences and practices will be studied, including many drawn from areas such as the visual arts or music (such as Performance Art, Futurism, Dada, American Alternative Theatre in the 1960s and contemporary uses of the body and technology).
