EDUC343: Literacy in a Multicultural Society |
The aim of this unit is to extend students' knowledge of current theories, research and practice on the teaching of literacy. The emphasis is on learners of all ages from all social and cultural backgrounds, including those who are experiencing reading and writing difficulties. It is therefore relevant to the teaching of students using English as a second language as well as students with special needs.
