GEOS900: Geoscience in the Field and Laboratory |
Develop skills needed to map, describe and interpret rocks in the field and laboratory. Techniques include microscopy, x-ray diffraction, x-ray fluorescence, electron microprobe, geoscience computing and the construction and interpretation of maps. Practical experience in the application of these techniques is gained through three case studies, including one involving sophisticated data collection in the field, where you become proficient in modern geoscientific skills.
