JPN340: Approaches to Japanese Teaching |
This unit, offered in the second half-year, is intended for students enrolled in JPN332 Japanese Language III (2) or JPN382 Advanced Japanese Language (2) and education units, who wish to pursue Japanese language teaching as a career. Secondary school, junior and senior syllabus requirements are examined, along with special problem areas such as the teaching of the Kana and Kanji scripts. In order to gain maximum benefit from this unit, students are strongly recommended to take it in conjunction with the relevant teaching methodology unit offered in the School of Education. Japanese native speakers may enrol in this unit.
