LAW203: Torts |
This unit examines the law of torts from a theoretical and normative perspective, and focuses in particular on the historical development of tort law and the relationship between social and legal change. Concentrating on the law of negligence, the unit looks at different approaches to liability for civil wrongs, including the rise of the fault principle in the nineteenth century and compensation ideas in the twentieth.
