LAW429: Information Technology Law

Cyberspace presents the law with many challenges. This unit will introduce the basic legal issues raised by networked digital technologies such as the Internet. Topics as diverse as jurisdiction, proprietary rights (copyright, trademarks, domain names), privacy, e-commerce and its framework, and selected others will be discussed. The emerging law and leading policy debates concerning information technology will studied.
