This unit examines the interaction of the Constitution and politics in Australia, in particular: ideas on constitutionalism and governance; the effect of ideology on drafting; Commonwealth-State relations; elections; the roles of Crown, the Senate and the House of Representations; the Executive; the economy; and throughout the role of the High Court's interpretation for Australian political life and governance.
