LAW522: Advanced Torts |
This unit will focus on developing areas in the law of torts, exploring a range of issues on a thematic/interests basis. Themes will include: medicine and health (wrongful life/wrongful birth, consent and refusal, professional negligence, interface between law and medicine, tobacco, alcohol and drug related injuries); dignitary and discriminatory injuries (defamation, privacy, emotional well-being, sexual harassment); torts and environment, including toxic torts; sports torts; educational/school torts; and compensation.
