LAW534: International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology and Privacy Law |
This unit is based on the John Marshall international moot competition held in Chicago during October. Students are required to learn and master U.S. privacy tort
law in relation to information technology issues. The students are
required to be largely self-directed and have excellent academic results
and research skills. Previous mooting experience is not required, as
the team will be trained in their advocacy skills.
Students are required to write a 40-page brief on the side that they choose to represent before leaving for Chicago. The winning briefs of the competition are published in The John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law, a leading academic publication in its field.
