LAW537: War Law |
War, despite the stringent limitations prescribed by international law on the use of force, is nevertheless, a common means of settling disputes between and within states. The two fundamental issues addressed in this unit will be:
(i) when is the use of force permitted in international law?
(ii) what principles govern the manner in which force is used.
