SCED802: Food Science and Biotechnology |
This course will raise teachers' awareness of recent advances in food science and biotechnology. While biotechnology has the potential to be of enormous benefit to Australian citizens through improved health care and increased food production, some of the products of modern biotechnology, such as gene therapy and genetically modified foods, are controversial among some groups.
