SOC231: Art, Individuality and Money |

The unit will focus on the relationship between art, money, the image and subjectivity in social contexts. Key ideas about art and its social setting will be examined, as well as the notion of art as formative of subjectivity and individuality. Aspects of the history and practice of so-called industrial arts, such as photography and cinema will also be a key component of the unit.
