ACCG330: Strategic Management Accounting |
This unit examines the extent to which an organisation's strategy determines the design of the management accounting system and the use of management accounting information. Strategy is initially discussed as a topic in its own right, before examining how various strategic choices affect management accounting techniques such as: activity based accounting, variance analysis, performance evaluation and capital budgeting. Case studies are used extensively to teach this unit.
