ANTH808: Urban Anthropology: Identity and the City |
For the first time in human history, the majority of the world's population live in urban areas. Yet these cities are vastly different in terms of life opportunities, economic profiles, built environments and political institutions. This unit will examine how we might analyse their similarities and differences including their formation by global flows of capital, images, people, social movements and products.
