BCM300: Issues for Indigenous Researchers

This unit introduces students to the practical aspects of undertaking a small research project and communicating research findings. Students choose an area of interest, formulate a research proposal, collect and analyse their information and present their results. This unit may include a field trip to one or several Aboriginal communities or organisations as the focus for the research undertaking. Students choose their research topic with either a social, historical, legal, and economic or management emphasis.

To enrol in this unit students must have 24cp from Year 1 & 2 BCM units or DCM/ADCM equivalents, and have a Pass (P) or Conceded Pass (PC) grade in all units in the BCM Identity and Culture Strand ie BCM103, 106, 201 & 206
