BIOL108: Human Biology

This unit deals with human biology and the interactions of humans with the rest of the living world. The subjects covered include human genetics, physiology, reproduction, and evolution. Attention is paid to topics of current interest, such as genetic engineering, cloning, and the impact of human activities on biodiversity and the biosphere.

While this unit is primarily designed for students with no background in Biology, students whose area of study is Biology are encouraged to attend. Successful completion of this unit allows progression to several 200 level Biology units. Lectures are recorded for students who find it difficult to attend live lectures.
