BIOL887: Biodiversity and Conservation |
There are two themes: First, the theory and experimentation that supports conservation science. Secondly, the interface with the prevailing economic, political, social and legislative issues. Topics include biodiversity, experimental design, conservation technologies, population viability analysis, reserve design and selection, restoration and off-reserve conservation. Practicals are in a compulsory block practical session.
