CBMS375: Immunology, Cell and Developmental Biology

This unit consists of three components. The first part covers some aspects of cell biology (e.g. cellular architecture, molecular transport, inter- and intra-cellular signaling). The second part looks at multicellular development, including the molecular aspects of control during development. The final component deals with immunity, wherein topics such as innate immunity, adaptive immune reactions and cancer are covered. The practicals are organised as on-campus sessions (see above) and there are no weekly practical classes. The practical sessions will emphasise common techniques used in cell biology and immunology, including microscopy and immunological assays.
