ECH126: Early Childhood in Australia: The Social Context |
This unit takes a multi-disciplinary approach to examine factors that create the current Australian social context. It draws on the disciplines of history, sociology, anthropology and child development to examine the effects of this context on the development and life chances of children living in Australia today. The influences of social class, gender, ethnicity, media, schooling, law, politics and family socialisation are among the issues addressed.
