ECH445: Family Centred Practice in Early Childhood Contexts |
The adoption of an ecological/developmental perspective will enable students to systematically analyse and evaluate issues that may affect optimal family functioning. The important nature of transactional relationships among family members, the child and professionals for developmental outcomes will be investigated. Students will identify practices that support the rights of parents to be integrally involved in decisions concerning their child. Within this context, parent-professional partnerships will be an important focus for study.
