ECON861: Advanced Macroeconomics |
This unit provides a rigorous, analytical treatment of open economy macroeconomics based upon micro foundations within a dynamic (intertemporal) framework. At the same time, the course offers insights into practical and current policy issues, for example, the policy implications of Japan/US current account imbalances, solvency, effectiveness of fiscal policy on the current account, exchange rates and output.
