FRN106: Basic Spoken French |
This is a general education unit, designed to give beginners experience in learning the spoken forms of a modern language. Stress will be placed both on the acquisition of practical skills and on the broader implications of language study.
This unit cannot be taken concurrently with other language units in French, nor can it be taken by students who have already completed any other unit in French language.
Students who already have studied French should not have proceeded further than School Certificate level or equivalent.
Students who, after successfully completing FRN106, wish to continue their study of French would normally enter FRN122 Introductory French I.
