This unit aims to develop students' knowledge of the underlying physical principles of Medical Radiation Science. This includes three modules, the first of which encompasses study of Radiation Physics, its principles and current technology of imaging equipment. In Module 2, students will become familiar with image production and image processing techniques. Module 3 describes the biological effects of radiation as well as current radiation protection techniques.
