ICOM203: International Public Relations and Advertising |
The unit will examine the relationship between media, the state, non-government organisations and other international actors. It will examine the literature, history and practice of public diplomacy and media and foreign policy. This will involve investigation of soft-power through media communication campaigns initiated by national governments, the application of media as an arm of foreign policy and case studies addressing military intervention, trade policy and agendas like human rights, environmental protection and terrorism
