ISS814: International Crime |
Academic studies has largely neglected the area of policing and crime. Globalisation has seen an expansion of the scale and transnationalism of crime. States increasingly recognise international crime cannot be dealt with without international cooperation -- by states and through multilateral organisations. The unit examines such threats as and responses to traffic in drugs, contraband, women and children as well as financial crime and other forms of serious fraud.
