ITEC851: System and Network Technologies

This unit covers predominately the technologies needed at layers 1-3 of the OSI reference model to provide these communications services, typically supporting but not limited to the Internet Protocol. At the physical level the unit examines wired, optical and wireless media, considering their requirements, characteristics, standards and implementation issues.
