JPN115: Introduction to Japanese Writing for Non-Kanji Background Learners |
This unit is intended for students who have no previous experience with the writing of Kanji (Chinese characters). Students will be systematically introduced firstly to Hiragana and Katakana scripts and then to Kanji. Students will learn some of the background to Kanji and also learn to read and write about 100 Kanji characters, exploring various study techniques for learning Kanji.
