LAW510: Environmental Law |
The unit provides an introduction to environmental policy, ethics, philosophy, and the legal system with a focus on the relationship between the human and the non-human environment and the evolution of modern approaches to "sustainable development". Federal environment protection is discussed (in particular, the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999). New South Wales environmental legislation will also be considered together with relevant judicial decisions and case studies.
