LAW893: Law and Government |
This unit introduces students to a range of theoretical and practical debates about the role of government in the State. It examines in detail how the Executive government, the Parliament and the public service respond to a range of contemporary issues such as the control of information and the management of internal security, and how public inquiries and other mechanisms enhance or control the power of executive government. Students interested in working in politics or the public service will be particularly interested in the unit.
