LING847: Psycholinguistics and Aphasia |
A psycholinguistic perspective will be adopted to investigate language difficulties observed in aphasia. One first identifies the specific locus of the processing impairment(s) for individual aphasic patients, and secondly, considers the implications of such breakdown(s) for models of "typical" language use. Issues of theoretical and practical significance for researchers will be considered.
