LING903: Languages and Cultures in Contact |
This unit aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop a reasoned understanding of the impact of cultural patterns (beliefs and values) on an individual's verbal and non-verbal behaviours. The course focuses equally on issues related to cross-cultural communication studies and to intercultural communication studies, and theory will be balanced with practical experiences.
