PSYC875: Health Psychology |
Health psychology is devoted to understanding psychological influences on how people stay healthy, why they become ill, and how they respond when they do get ill. It encompasses both health promotion and adaptation to illness. Attention will also be given to stress, pain and their management, practitioner-patient relations, coping with chronic illness, psychoneuroimmunology, and relaxation training.
